Inside of a church, something brown out of focus on the first plain, couple getting married on the background.

As child very little, wanted to grow
So soon so big was, there left and flew free
Saw mountains and towns, wild woods and the sea
Alone conquered the world, no fright to show

From fear unimpeded, life was to go
Had even forgotten what love can be
Until then back home, there landed to see
Love was sudden awake, how could one know

Yet there was the freedom with such broad wings
Which carried this heart so far far away
To recall the longing that distance springs

Only did not count with passion to play
Courage and loyalty, that’s what it brings
Finger sealed with a ring, the merriest day

This is the first sonnet I write in many years. It is dedicated to my beloved husband, Charles.
